Tanya Nelson Carnegie
Founder and executive Director
Tanya is an investor, social entrepreneur and the founder of Vasudhara.
Prior to Vasudhara, Tanya was co-founder of the Carnegie Foundation, where she helped create two charities, the Matilda Rose Early Intervention Centre and Hear For You
Tanya has 20 years' experience in investment. She started her career at McKinsey & Co.
She holds a degree in Human Sciences from Oxford University, and was a post-graduate at Sydney and Macquarie universities.
Investment Director and General manager
Matt has been working on social impact projects with Tanya since 2011.
As Investment Director, he works with social entrepreneurs to bring to life the projects that the Foundation supports.
Before Vasudhara, Matt worked in management consulting (Bain & Co) and private equity (ANZ Capital). He holds a degree in Classics and Philosophy from Oxford University.
Genelle is an experienced finance professional and Chartered Accountant.
Prior to Vasudhara, Genelle worked in international development and the non-profit sector as the CFO of Social Ventures Australia and the Adara Group. She also worked for eight years in investment banking after building her professional foundations in Chartered Accounting firms.
Genelle holds a Masters of Taxation Law and a Bachelor of Business. She also attended Harvard Business School Executive Education: Effective Management of Non-profit Organisations.
